Hi! I'm Andrew.
I'm a content designer in Silicon Valley, CA.
Hello! I'm Andrew, and I'm a designer. Every day, I work with other designers, engineers, marketers and other partners to make safe, helpful products that anyone can use. I also love mentoring, especially when it comes to helping new designers.
Today, I work as a design lead at Login.gov, as part of the U.S. General Services Administration. Before that, I worked on Meta's Safety & Inclusion team on Messenger, where I designed features that kept teens safe on Meta's platforms and protected users' privacy in calls.
Panel I hosted with Angela Yip, Karen Mok, Lauren Yee, Thi Bui and Vanessa Hua at the San Francisco Playhouse, February 2019, for Yee's play, King of the Yees.
In May 2017, I founded The Slant, a weekly newsletter focusing on Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) news, media, and culture. We've interviewed actress and rapper Awkwafina, Nobel Peace Prize nominee Amanda Nguyen, Asian Not Asian co-hosts Fumi Abe and Mic Nguyen, and cartoonists Thi Bui and Dami Lee. We've also partnered with organizations like The Cosmos and Self Evident to promote APIDA advancement at CAAMfest and San Francisco Playhouse.
Since 2017, I've volunteered at iMentor to help high school students in underserved schools learn about and access higher education. I've also helped out at U.S. Digital Response to help local governments streamline their COVID relief websites for easier access to testing and vaccination.
Check out my portfolio! Plus, I'm always open to chat about other projects, especially those serving underrepresented groups. Wanna talk? Feel free to email me at hello@andrewhsieh.com. Or, find me on LinkedIn and Facebook.
