Hi! I'm Andrew Hsieh.

I'm a content designer, writer, and APIDA advocate.

Hi! I'm Andrew Hsieh.

I'm a content designer, writer, and APIDA advocate.

Hi! I'm Andrew

I'm a content designer in Silicon Valley, CA.

Hello from Silicon Valley! I'm Andrew, and I'm a senior content designer on Facebook's personalized ads team. Every day, I gather with product designers, UX researchers, engineers, and other cross-functional partners to develop user-first experiences, aiming to streamline complicated workflows and demystify complex features.

Asian American advocacy

In May 2017, I founded The Slant, a weekly newsletter focusing on Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) news, media, and culture. We've interviewed actress and rapper Awkwafina, Nobel Peace Prize nominee Amanda Nguyen, Asian Not Asian co-hosts Fumi Abe and Mic Nguyen, and cartoonists Thi Bui and Dami Lee. We've also partnered with organizations like The Cosmos and Self Evident to promote APIDA advancement at CAAMfest and San Francisco Playhouse.

Volunteer work

In my off-time, I volunteer at iMentor to help high school students in underserved schools learn about and access higher education. I also help out at U.S. Digital Response to help local governments design and write for their COVID relief websites.

Wanna hire me?

I'm always open to chat about other projects, especially those serving underrepresented groups. Wanna talk? Feel free to email me at hello@andrewhsieh.com. Or, find me on LinkedIn and Facebook.

Hello from out here in sunny Silicon Valley, where I'm a content designer working at Facebook.

I work with product designers, UX researchers, engineers, and other cross-functional partners to develop user-first experiences, aiming to streamline complicated workflows and demystify complex features.

In May 2017, I founded The Slant, a weekly newsletter focusing on Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) news, media, and culture.

Over two years, we interviewed actress and rapper Awkwafina, Nobel Peace Prize nominee Amanda Nguyen, Asian Not Asian co-hosts Fumi Abe and Mic Nguyen, and cartoonist Dami Lee. We also hosted events at San Francisco Playhouse and joined our Self-Evident friends at CAAMfest.

I'm always open to chat about other APIDA projects, especially those serving underrepresented groups. Wanna talk? Email me at hello@andrewhsieh.com. Or, find me on LinkedIn and Facebook.

“During a time of overwhelming communication flow for a crisis response, U.S. Digital Response responded quickly, providing a team of highly skilled and professional assistance to focus, simplify and streamline messaging on our website. They were quick to respond to questions and provided help though every step of the process, including implementation. Our website improved drastically for the community using it."
